A Beloved’s Song

“The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament shows His handiwork. Day unto day utters speech, And night unto night reveals knowledge.” Psalm 19 1-2 (NKJV)
God breathed His life into us when He made us and because that life has been distorted because of sin, He came and paid the penalty of that sin so that we may be restored to Him. Day in and day out He does not stop working in our lives, in the lives of those who have said “yes” to Him and His working. He works in us so that we may display His beauty, His glory, His splendour. He will not stop working in our lives until His vision for us is seen by the whole world; until we are who He sees when He looks at us through His lenses of glory; until we are restored to His beauty.
We are called to shine the light of Christ, like creation, without uttering speech. God’s light must shine through us, this is our song to the world, this is our song to Christ. We must be songs of awe, wonder, praise and creativity.
“O you afflicted one, Tossed with tempest, and not comforted, Behold, I will lay your stones with colourful gems, And lay your foundations with sapphires.” Isaiah 54:11 (NKJV)
Let us hold on to God even when we do not see Him when life gets hard; this is the time He uses to build us up into beauty – He uses such times for His refining work. His refining work is for our strength, our longevity. His refining work is for our beauty, for people to see and praise God who makes all things beautiful.
Before we know it, we would have survived, conquered, and the beauty of character and life that will be seen in us cannot be matched. It is a work that only God could have done.
If you are faced with challenges or hardship do not let go of God, hold on to His promise of glory. If you are far from Him, ask Him to draw you close, especially in this season, you do not want to miss the benefits of a life worked on by God.
