A Sure Success
"Be careful to follow every command I am giving you today, so that you may live and increase and may enter and possess the land that the Lord promised on oath to your forefathers." Deuteronomy 8:1 (NIV)
As we are still allowing God to lead us in 2022 let us not forget the benefits and responsibility that come with such an honour. In the past few weeks we have been looking at how we can be open and best submit to the leading of God. Today we look at the fruitfulness that comes with keeping all His words and living according to them.
"He humbled you, causing you to hunger and then feeding you with manna, which neither you nor your fathers had known, to teach you that man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord." Deuteronomy 8:3 (NIV)
God’s heart is that we remember at all times that our success does not come from any of our efforts but lies in obedience to Him. This means that we meditate on His word and obey everything that He commands us to do. In His word is our ability to acquire wealth. We seek His kingdom and righteousness then He adds all things to us, through the generosity of men and His leading us towards the doors we should walk into. God loves work, He blessed it. Work that is blessed of God is without toil. When we submit to God’s leading He makes our work pleasurable and sets us before open doors. This requires knowing Him, His voice and obeying it. Our best way into doing this is by meditating on the Bible and living according to its ways, this way we will be familiar with God and succeed. When we follow God we need nothing. Right now God is leading us into plenty. We have to grab every opportunity He gives to us. We must walk into every door that He has opened for us. This is going to require strength to stand our ground and courage to fight to possess the land God is giving us. God is enlarging us and we must we must be brave to pursue this. In our devotional next week we will look into this – being strong and courageous as we allow God to enlarge us.
"Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go." Joshua 1:7 (NIV)
Let our circumstances not dictate our level of obedience to God. Let us obey God and His law by reading the Bible daily and living according to it so that we may see success. Let us obey God even when it does not make sense to us, we will see God come through for us. We will be successful. Be blessed.
