Finding Your Niche

“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” Matthew 6:33 (NKJV)
Matthew 6:33 (NKJV)
All of us in life are seeking success in one way or the other. Though success can seem subjective, there is no greater achievement of it than finding your niche and doing it well. We can only find this out when we are found in God. When we find God we find ourselves; we are exposed to parts of us we were blinded to. We realise what we were born to do and the bottom line of it. The bottom line of everything we do should be centered around pursuing God and His will; to know Him and to make Him known.
“For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.”
Matthew 16:35 (NKJV)
We must know God, know His will and lay our lives down for this. Knowing God encourages reverance, honour and obedience to Him. We understand His supremacy over all things and sovereignty in all circumstances. Meaning nothing we experience defies God of His being. Understanding that all things find their purpose in God and hold in Him helps you trust Him more – even when things do not make sense. Then He will enlighten you to His will and you will not be afraid to pursue it.
“Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, The days fashioned for me, When as yet there were none of them.”
Psalm 139:16 (NKJV)
This is God who knows what our lives will end like, how they began and what we should be doing in the in-between. His leading is absolute. Our days are already written in His book and His leading is merely Him reading it out for us to live it out. Follow Him.
No man is born outside of the will of God and all man born has purpose, for God does nothing in vain. We must lay down our lives for these purposes, they are God’s perfect plan for us in our homes, careers, ministries and acts of service.
A Practical Step in Finding Your Niche
God is the Prince of Peace and all fruit of the Spirit are what man is after but does not know how to get – love, joy, peace, etc So contrary to popular belief, God’s will does not bring pain but every good gift. The long-lasting gifts of the Holy Spirit. To find God’s will means finding what it is that resonates on the inside of you. To find that you must ask yourself what it is that you can do with ease; what consumes your hours without noticing? Things that make your heart smile? Your work should not grieve you, instead it should add pleasure to your days. Work is a gift that God gave to man before the fall, it is a blessing. Find a list of these things and prayerfully seek God to guide you as you pursue them.
“Then the LORD God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to tend and keep it.”
Genesis 2:15 (NKJV)
It is beautiful to remember when you pursue your dreams that God is on your side therefore you have everything you need.
“Nor bag for your journey, nor two tunics, nor sandals, nor staffs, for a worker is worthy of his food.”
Matthew 10:10 (NKJV)
Do not be afraid as you pursue God and His will. Do not be afraid as you pursue your dreams and chase after the career of your dreams. God is with you every step of the way. He will open doors and provide for you. Do not trust in your own resources, trust Him who provides and makes a way. He will open doors and provide for you.
