God’s Love and His Mindfulness of Man

"But there is a place where someone has testified: 'What is mankind that you are mindful of them, a son of man that you care for him?" Hebrews 2:6
God made all man, loves all man and is mindful of all man. He made us in His likeness, to embody who He is and when that was lost, He came to restore it through the cross by giving us the fullness of who He is again – a second chance we were and will forever be undeserving of.
"So God created mankind in His own image, in the image of God He created them; male and female He created them." Gen 1:27
When that was lost – the image of God within man because of sin, God sent His Son – Jesus, to reconcile us back to Himself for the restoration of that eternally.
What is it that has been restored back to us?
- The fullness of Christ
"For in Christ all the fullness of the Diety lives in bodily form, and in Christ you have been brought to fullness. He is the head over every power and authority." Col 2:9
"He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation." Col 1:15
"For God was pleased to have all His fullness dwell in Him." Col 1:19
All the fullness of the Diety lives in Christ in bodily form. This means all that God is – His power, His love, His authority was not just embedded in Christ, it was who Christ is. He was not only the image of the invisible God, He is God and now this God lives in us if we accept Him.
- light in darkness
When times get dark we do not have to fear defeat for God within us is the light that removes any trace of darkness within us. This could be an illness, fear or lack; God’s light pushes all that back and lights us up.
"In Him was life, and that life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it." John 1:4
- His conquering Spirit. His wisdom, His love and compassion.
Now this fullness lives in us
When He died, we died and when He rose we rose too, with Him and He has made us co-heirs by the adoption of us as sons. He considers us brothers and sisters with Him. We have now been given all that He has been given. All the fullness of the Diety now lives in us – this is the fullness of God.
What does this mean for us
"But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels, now crowned with glory and honour because he suffered death, so that by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone." Hebrews 2:9
God experienced victory here on earth from tormenting spirits (when He was attacked by the devil through temptation, first on the mountain during His fast and second on the garden of Gethsemane in preparation for the cross.)
On the cross the devil could not take His life, Jesus gave it to God. This means the devil cannot take anything from us that has been given to us by God. He cannot stand in the way of our success, victories, thriving families and in attacks, the same victories of Jesus belong to us because of His death and ressurrection.
So let us receive all of God’s gifts, which we did not deserve, which we did not earn in humility and thanksgiving.
Let us not lose sight of God, if we lose sight of God we lose sight of who we are. Our identity and being is found in Him. Without Him we are can do nothing.
Then let us use the power that is freely available to us here on earth so we can experience victory in all that we are. Have a blessed Sunday.
