Islimela – 

Islimela is the fine arts division of 1 Old Note. We dance, we sing; we put together words and melody, translated in our bodies and lived out in our lives as an offering unto the Most High God – the LORD.

Jesus the Word of God

God has centered everything around His Word. The Heavens and earth are all held together by the words of God. Apart from God life ceases to exist and within Him all things find purpose.
“He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.” Colossians 1: 17 (NIV)

The world has nothing to offer that can satisfy our souls. Jesus is the Life our hearts ache for. When man was in sin and the world in pain God sent the Word, His Son, to live on earth a life of holiness as an example to us; and die in place of us as a penalty for the reckless lives we’ve lived. He died so we could live like Him. He died so we could have life. He died so we could find our hope in Him.

“For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 3: 16 (NIV)

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” John 1:1 (NIV)

“Then Jesus declared, “I am the Bread of Life. He who comes to me will never go hungry, and He who believes in me will never be thirsty.” John 6: 35 (NIV)

“Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent and humbly accept the word planted in you, which can save you.” James 1: 21 (NIV)

For life to be fulfilling we have to live life God’s way. We need Jesus in our hearts and obey all His commands.
