YOUR BEAUTY and splendor have everyone talking; I compose songs on YOUR wonders. Psalm 145:5 9 (Msg)

Islimela –

Islimela is the fine arts division of 1 Old Note. We dance, we sing; we put together words and melody, translated in our bodies and lived out in our lives as an offering unto the Most High God – the LORD.

Worship –

We offer sacrifices of praise and worship to God through the talents and giftings that He has given to us.

God is God who hates robbery and oppression. We are His anointed hands and feet to bring awareness and freedom

Selflessly Graced

There is a bridge that God has for us over the seas of winds of evil and waves of torment. It is a bridge that leads us to fulfilled promises of prosperity, life, restoration and peace. It is a bridge of glory, a bridge of outer turmoil, a bridge of safety. God places it there for us so that we may get to where He wants us. It is there where the devil will do all he can with all that he has to try intimidate us out of our seasons of glory that starts at the bridge into the destination. If we stay put we will conquer, if we fight what is on the outside with God within victory will be certain. We will cross over, holding on to God and trusting in His words because He is faithful.

We can take a lesson from Paul; he did not waver from truth even in the most testing of moments. He ran his race for himself and for those entrusted to him by God.

“I have great sorrow and unceasing anguish in my heart. For I could wish that I myself were cursed and cut off from Christ for the sake of my brothers, those of my own race.” Romans 9:2-3 (NIV)

Paul was set on finishing that which Christ had called him into. It was laid on him like a selfless burden to esteem others like Christ did us – to lay down his life for the sake of the salvation of many.

“Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize. Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever. Therefore I do not run like a man running aimlessly; I do not fight like a man beating the air.” 1 Corinthians 9:24-26 (NIV)

We, like Paul, should do what we have to to attain the prize that God has for us. The grace that God gives to us for our battles, ministries, vocations, roles or careers is amazing. He allows us to do things that are humanly impossible with ease. Though painful and daunting the things we go through may be, He gives us staying power and grit to endure any circumstance so that we may win.

What are you not allowing yourself to do because it is not popular? What are you allowing people to steal from you by speaking words of death over you? What God requires and enables you to do may be so selfless that people would consider it foolish or the flesh may resist it – do it anyways. Save your soul by losing your flesh. Remember your grace is the bridge given to you by God to help you cross over the seas of torment. On the other side of your obedience is victory for you and those entrusted to you by God. If God has graced you for it then you will win. Let us live selfless. We are graced.

At the other end of our obedience is life.
