Supernatural Faith | Firm in Faith

“Be on your gaurd; stand firm in the faith; be men of courage; be strong.” 1 Corinthians 16:13 (NIV)
The Christian walk is a walk of faith. A faith in the existence of God, a faith in His word and a faith in His power.
“By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.” Hebrews 11:3 (NIV)
It is faith in God that helps us to understand the supernatural words of God. We grasp on them by faith. We believe that God created all things from nothing but His word.
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through Him all things were made; without Him nothing was made that has been made.” John 1:1-3 (NIV)
God is His Word and His words God carry power and they are able to build faith in us, a total trust in God. Our source of faith is God. It is His word that gives us faith and it is He who is proved to be faithful.
“Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ.” Romans 10:17 (NIV)
“And do not be conformed to this world [any longer with its superficial values and customs], but be transformed and progressively changed [as you mature spiritually] by the renewing of your mind [focusing on godly values and ethical attitudes], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His plan and purpose for you].” Romans 12:2 (AMP)
When we faith in God’s words then we will have faith in His power. His words carry the ability to bring into existence what is not. Our faith is our strength.
“The Sovereign Lord is my strength; He makes my feet like the feet of a deer, He enables me to go on heights.” Habakkuk 3:19 (NIV)
“Who through faith conquered kingdoms, administered justice, and gained what was promised; who shut the mouths of lions.” Hebrews 11:33 (NIV)
“Who is it that overcomes the world? Only He who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.” 1 John 5:5 (NIV)
Have faith in God and His promises, He is a keeper of His words. He does not need a precedent to work, He does not need resources to produce. His words are power and they are enough to go by. Stand firm in faith.
