To Us Christ Came

God gave us a perfect gift when He gave us His Son – Jesus Christ. Because Christ was born to us, because Christ came we have experienced freedom beyond measure, we have seen His light while we were in darkness. We have experinced His power when we were faced with oppression, we have seen the enemy defeated before us. We have seen His might. He has held us, He has led us.
"For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace." Isaiah 9:6(NIV)
To us a Son was given and His name is Jesus. He was the Word of God that created all things and continues to create today. He was made flesh so that we may receive salvation. He took upon Himself every curse that we had and shared with us His inheritance in God. We are now co-heirs with Jesus.
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." John 1:1(NIV)
All law, all rule, all reign, all authority belongs to Him. Once God sends a word, what the word says is done. If God promises something, He cannot but fulfil it. His word carries power therefore all things are subject to it.
"He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together. And He is the head of the body, the church; He is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything He might have to supremacy." Colossians 1:17-18 (NIV)
He is a Wonderful Counselor who leads and counsels in wisdom by the power of the Holy Spirit. His Spirit that He left us with when He ascended to the Father in Heaven enables us to discern and understand His Word and gives us gifts that equips us against the schemes of the devil.
"To one there is given through the Spirit the message of wisdom, to another the message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit, to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues." 1 Corinthians 12:8 -10 (NIV)
The power of His word reveals His might – God who wins every battle and delivers from all evil. It is the sword that destroys the camps of the devil. We should take it and speak it. This not only disarms the devil and cause his plans about us to fail, but shapes our future in a way that God has predestined it to be.
"Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God." Ephesians 6:17 (NIV)
He is our everlasting Father. All our affairs here on earth are well taken care of. He watches over us and our households – this benefit is not just for today but forever; for us and generations to come. Where my eyes fail to see, where the systems of the world fail to reach, He is here watching to protect, to provide, to take care. He is our Father. He will never stop. Even when we cease to exist, He will be here watching over our children ensuring all good things over them.
"A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in His Holy dwelling. God sets the lonely in families, he leads forth the prisoners with singing; but the rebellious live in a sun-scorched land." Psalm 68:5-6 (NIV)
He is our peace, the Prince of Peace and we will ever be at rest. Whatever comes against us will not have the ability to steal our peace from us, it comes from God and He dwells within us.
"You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because He trusts in You." Isaiah 26:3 (NIV)
His words are authority. He says and all things obey – nature, mankind and the constellation because He is governance. He is the beginning of all things and He will be the ending of them too. He is the Source of our prosperity by the guidance of His Spirit and the authority of His word. He is the stream that waters our forests causing us to flourish.
Be encouraged to let God’s word guide you – to walk in light and integrity. Let it be the source of your courage and ambition. Receive the ability He gives to us to acquire wealth and let Him watch over your endeavours. He will watch over everything that we do, conquering those who come against you and causing your trees to be evergreen. His word is power. Trust Him.
