Ways of God

Last week on our podcast teaching and devotional we looked at stone jar moments. This is a term we coined from the Book of John 2 where Jesus uses stone jars as vessels to turn water into wine. We use this illustration to define moments that may seem insignificant in our lives that turn to birth miracles that we had long been awaiting. Based on this teaching, we look at how best to not miss these moments and the things God is doing in our lives.
"He guides the humble in what is right and teaches them His way. All the ways of the Lord are loving and faithful for those who keep the demands of His covenant." Psalm 25:9-10 (NIV)
For us to miss nothing of God we need to have a good attitude. The attitude that wins God’s leading is that of humility. He wants us to have servant hearts. Servants are subject to their masters. They follow every instruction without fail. We need to carry this attitude – following every instruction that comes from our Master, God. God is doing a new thing in this season, He is bringing forth fertility in places of barrenness in our lives. What we have lacked we will have, what we have needed He will provide. He is giving all this to us for free for He is a good and faithful God. It is to His glory that we have, that we lack nothing. He has given us every solution we need to get this. What we need to hold onto is a humble heart, a heart that says, “Lord, I need You. Please help me.” A heart that us noy afraid to ask if God. This is the heart He will lean towards and lead.
"Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the waters; and you who have no money, come, buy and eat! Come , buy wine and milk without money or cost.'For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,' declares the Lord."Isaiah 55:1 & 8 (NIV)
