Wisdom and Worship
God does not change His mind. He promised to never leave us, nor forsake us. He came, died and rose again; ascended into Heaven and left us with God the Holy Spirit to be an ever abiding presence to help us in worship and guide us into all truth.
Our revelations come from God. We thank God that He shows us the things He chooses to. He reveals Himself to us so that we may worship Him. God is in Heaven revealing Himself to His worshippers and here on earth revealing Himself to us.
It is a hardened heart that does not glorify God. God calls it foolish. Sometimes God will hide Himself from us because of the condition of our hearts – sin which results in foolishness. Let us continually ask God for His wisdom to abide in us so that we may be led by Him.
“for God’s gifts and his call are irrevocable.” Romans 11:29 (NIV)
“If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!” Luke 11:13 (NIV)
The Holy Spirit is the spirit of wisdom that dwells in a pure a heart. It enables us to glorify God and give thanks to Him. We need to ask God to help us to see Him – to see Him in the things all around us that point us to Him. We must ask God to open our eyes and ears, to make our hearts tender towards Him because it is He who hardens and softens our hearts as He sees fit. We need to ask that His glory and grace are ever with us, the He treats us with mercy especially where such things are concerned so that we may praise Him and be pleasing in His sight.
“If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given him.” James 1:5 (NIV)
“You desire but do not have, so you kill. You covet but you cannot get what you want, so you quarrel and fight. You do not have because you do not ask God.” James 4:2 (NIV)
We must ask our Father in Heaven and He will give to us. He loves us.
