Islimela – 

Islimela is the fine arts division of 1 Old Note. We dance, we sing; we put together words and melody, translated in our bodies and lived out in our lives as an offering unto the Most High God – the LORD.

Within God’s Boundaries

Recently I have been having a lot of social media God moments. First, it was God communicating the art of rest as I saw children with chronic illnesses secure in the care of their loving parents. God has been emphasizing the benefits of resting in Him and a huge part of resting in God is trusting in everything that He says. In my moments of mindlessly scrolling through my newsfeed I encountered beautiful pictures of active volcanos. Volcanos are majestic and yet no one can stand their heat. They are often found in secluded spaces. This reminded me of God’s love in the boundaries He set for us.

 

Man is always yearning for freedom yet they do not realise that freedom is found in the spaces provided for them by God. A space where they can move about as they will, in rest; knowing that within that space is safety. The devil tends to deceive man through vices such as greed and lust into thinking that God’s boundaries are limiting and life is found outside of Him only to die. We should not allow the devil to deceive us.

 

How do we live within God’s boundaries

 

  • Living according to His leading

 

Our efforts will never be wasted. We will receive a full reward for our investments.

 

“Many are the plans in a man’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.” Proverbs 19:21 (NKJV)

 

  • Keep His statues

 

We will live a life of righteousness and glory. He will always be pleased with us.

 

“Your word I have hidden in my heart, That I might not sin against You.” Psalm 119:11 (NKJV)

 

  • Allow Him to be Lord

 

When He has the final say in all that we do we live in reverance to Him and therefore blessed.

 

“He is like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither, And whatever he does shall prosper.” Psalm 1:3 (NKJV)

 

With God there are no unforeseen circumstances. He gives us foresight by the power of the Holy Spirit. We rest in His leading even when it does not make sense at a given moment because His endings are always good. Trust God.
